Robinson House Studio Launch Party

The weekend of 17-18th September saw the launch of the new Robinson House Studio based in Newhaven, East Sussex.  The studio was originally the local printers, 'Bridge Press' - it was empty and run down for three years before Marc Fish and his team put in a lot of hard work to make it the place that you see today.  The launch party was the perfect opportunity to showcase the work of designer-makers, students, local artist and photographers.
The studio is a great creative environment for all of us - some have trained with the likes of John Makepeace/Parnham College and David Savage.  The studio is also home to courses in furniture design and making with Marc Fish - providing a creative environment for students to learn and develop.  Marc Fish had his latest Guild Mark award piece 'Le Orchidee' on display - this beautiful desk continues to receive rave reviews.

The launch party was a great success and received plenty of visitors. It was a fantastic opportunity for all of us who have bench spaces at the studio to showcase our current creations 'Interpretation' - cabinet within a stand received a fantastic response
A fellow bench-spacer and exhibitor, Alvaro Rodriguez was displaying his 'Dream-Weaver' bed - a new sleeping concept made entirely of natural products without the use of metal creating a healthier sleeping space - it was tried out by plenty of visitors!

We're all looking forward to future exhibitions at the Studio and sharing the creative atmosphere - further information when announced will be shown here.  We look forward to seeing you!  Visits by appointment are always welcome - contact me here
